The BETTER CLIMATE FUND is a smart contract controlled by a strict mechanism limiting the sale of its holdings over a steady period of time.
STEP 1
The BETTER CLIMATE FUND swaps BETTER for USDC no more than once per day, and that swap can never exceed a token price impact of 0.3%.
STEP 2
The USDC proceeds will initially be used to purchase Toucan Protocol’s Nature Carbon Tonne (NCT), which is immediately retired to realize carbon offsets and create positive climate impact.
STEP 3
Should the BETTER DAO vote to select a new recipient for BETTER CLIMATE FUND proceeds, the smart contract will be updated to route funds to the designated beneficiary.
